Bracy Opens with World #6 Prelim of 6.64 for 60m

The season is just getting underway, but already FSU freshman Marvin Bracy is picking up where he left off. After trading the Seminoles football pads for spikes just weeks ago, the Boone alum nailed it in his first time out of the blocks since going down with an injury during the post season last year.

At the Arkansas Razorback Invitational on Friday, he came through with the fastest seed out of the prelims with a 6.64 going into tomorrow's finals. That time qualifies him for nationals on his first run of the season, puts him third this year in the NCAA and currently ranks him sixth in the world in that event. The indoor season is still young internationally, but regardless that is a huge way to make an entrance.

The time beats his previous personal best in the event, a 6.75 that he ran as a high school junior to win the Brooks PR Invitational.

GREAT JOB, MARV!
