  3. Five Men Named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

    Five members of the Oklahoma men's track and field program were named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Track and Field Team the organization announced Thursday. Eric Bailey, D'Andre Fisher, Rob Sorrell, Jeremy Sudbury and Kevin Williams were all named to the team after top performances on and off the track throughout the 2010 season. The Oklahoma men were second among all schools in the Big 12 with the five athletes on the team while Nebraska lead the conference with eight.

  5. Colorado Dominates Distance Events at GSW

    There was a lot of success to be spread out among the Colorado distance runners at the Great Southwest Classic on Saturday. And nobody's smiles were bigger those worn by Dey Tuach and Eleanor Fulton.   Roman Holmes had one of the nicer performances for Colorado athletes on the day with a best long jump of 25-3.25, good enough for second place.   7. Weekend Highlights: Price (PA) 2:03.98 for 800m; Jelmini (CA) 183-11 Girls Discus U.S.#4 A-T

    Results from around the country keep pouring in and what we've seen so far is mighty impressive. Numerous U.S. top five marks have been established this weekend, starting with Chanelle Price's (PA) big 2:03.98 800m win at the New York Relays Saturday. Following Price's lead, Jacquelyn Coward (TN) (pictured left by Brandon Miles) ran the most impressive hurdle double of the season by winning the 300m hurdles in 41.26 and 100m hurdles in 13.11w at the Volunteer Classic at the University of Tennessee.   8. Williams, Blok tabbed as most valuable athletes at Mullen Runner's Roost

    This year's Mullen Runner's Roost is in the books. On a day that saw a large number of athletes perform very well, two stood out above the rest--Kevin Williams of D'Evelyn High School and Emily Blok of Conifer High School.
