Two Kansas track and field athletes received academic honors by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Thursday. KU's Eric Fattig and Mason Finley were two athletes of a total of 357 to be named to the USTFCCCA's All-Academic team.

Seven Jayhawks will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., this weekend for the pinnacle event of the 2010 indoor track and field season. Freshmen Mason Finley and Taylor Washington earned the ultimate title at the 2010 Big 12 Indoor Championships in Ames, Iowa, as both Kansas track and field athletes were crowned conference champions, Saturday at the Lied Recreation Center in Ames, Iowa. Finley won the shot put, while Washington captured the honor in the 600-yard run.
