Patience was key for the Badgers on Thursday.Though the No. 9-ranked Wisconsin men's track team did not push anyone through to next month's national championships on the opening day of the 2013 NCAA West Preliminary Round, the Badgers did put four athletes in position to earn bids down the line.

Members of the Northwestern wrestling and cross country teams volunteered their time at the 2013 Dewey Fun Run at Dewey Elementary on Friday, May 17. The Wildcats spent the evening assisting at various activity stations and also provided support for students that ran or walked the track to raise money.
Six women and 12 men were selected individually to the NCAA East Regionals on Thursday afternoon. The Boilermakers also qualified a team in the men's 4x400m relay for next weekend's meet.
