AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – One meet into the 2011-12 indoor track and field season and Abilene Christian Senior Nick Jones has already qualified for the NCAA Championships in the shot put after recording a winning distance of 18.24 meters (59 feet, 10.25 inches) Friday at the Air Force Academy's Blue and Silver Open.
