  1. Andres Arroyo Discusses Dream Mile, Get To Know Andres Off The Track

    Colonial superstar Andres Arroyo is coming off a senior season that saw him capture three state titles, and post some of the fastest times ever ran in the 800,1600, and 3200 that Florida has seen. This weekend he will compete against the top milers in the country in the Dream MIle in New York City. The goal: to break four minutes. We caught up with Andres before he flew out and asked him about his preparations and goals for the big race, and also found out what Andres is like off the track.

    Hey, this weekend was just too great I swear. I finished off my highschool track season down state at Charlestonl Illinois, and competed in four events (100 hurdles, 400, 300 hurdles, and 200). I don't even know where to start..Last year I did all four events, and broke five records over the course of two days. I took home a third place state trophy all by myself.

    What a week! Last Thursday was conference. It was a relatively short week in terms of mileage as we began to taper. Also, our speed workout consisted of six 400s with five minute rests in between each to recover fully. I ran an average of just under 59 seconds for each. I
  5. Gator Men Remain Number One In Latest USTFCCCA Rankings

    The Florida men and Kansas women both remain atop their respective rankings, but the chase pack is beginning to reel them in as the collegiate track & field season enters its homestretch. The No. 2 Texas A&M men lost some ground on the Florida men, but Oregon and Arkansas were propelled by conference championships to the No. 3 and 4 spots, respectively. (via USTFCCCA)
