Mauldin alumna and Clemson Tiger, Alyssa Kulik, qualified for the 2012 Olympic Trials in 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:52.90. This is a new ACC record.
Six members of the Clemson cross country program, including four from the women's team, were named to the All-ACC Academic Team for 2011. The teams were released Tuesday by the Atlantic Coast Conference. Natalie Anthony, Elyse Borisko, Alyssa Kulik and Kim Ruck were named to the women's All-Academic Team, while Ty McCormack and Jonathan Sunde represented the Tiger men's program.

Senior runner Alyssa Kulik was named All-Academic for the 2011 cross country season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Thursday. It was the second straight season Kulik claimed the honor from the coaches association.
Clemson accomplished great things on the cross country course in the fall of 2011, highlighted by the women's team finishing fourth at the Southeast Regionals.
The Clemson women's cross country team finished fourth at the NCAA Southeast Regional Championships on Saturday, the program's highest finish at a regional meet since the 1993 squad placed third. The Tigers were just 14 points behind North Carolina and will now await word on a potential at-large NCAA bid. Clemson's women have not advanced to the NCAA Cross Country Championships since that 1993 season. The NCAA is expected to announce the 30-team field on Sunday by 8:00 PM.
Clemson will take its two cross country teams to Louisville, KY to compete at the NCAA Southeast Regionals at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park on Saturday, November 12. It will be the third straight year the Southeast Regional meet will be held in Louisville. The men's 10K is scheduled for 10:00 AM, followed by the women's 6K at 11:15.
