NEW ORLEANS ? Iowa State distance runners Hillary Bor and Kiel Uhl were named to the 2009 USTFCCCA Division I Men's All-Academic Track and Field team. Both Cyclones received the same honor for their performances this past cross country season.
Bor finished second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA Championships and the Big 12 Championships. Bor is an accounting major.
Uhl, a Prole native earned his first trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships for track and field this spring in the 10,000-meter run. Uhl finished third in the 5,000 and 10,000-meter runs at the Big 12 Championships. Uhl is an architecture major.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic, provisional qualifying standard or the NCAA Division I Outdoor regional or national qualifying standard in their respective event.
