HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's cross country team kicked its season off with a dominating performance at the Dartmouth Invitational and took first-place overall thanks to sweeping the top three spots.
The Big Green finished with 21 points overall, which was 16 points ahead of Massachusetts, who took second with 37 points. Boston College took third with 73 points and Quinnipiac rounded out the teams in fourth place earning 120 points.
Leading the way for the Big Green was junior Tom Robbins (Evanston, Ill.), who earned the individual title by finishing the 8k course with a time of 25:35. Senior Chris Zablocki (Essex, Conn.) took second, running the course in 25:42.40 and sophomore Ethan Shaw (Falmouth, Maine) completed the Dartmouth sweep of the top three with a time of 25:58.70.
Sophomore Brad Kenimer (Alexandria, Va.) joined the top three with sixth-place run in 26:16.70, while junior Chase Eldredge (Douglasville, Ga.) rounded out the top-10 for the Big Green, finishing in 26:26.40 to take ninth.
The Big Green have a long lay-off until the team competes again, which is Oct. 2 at the Paul Short Invite at Lehigh.
