PEORIA, Ill. - After winning her second cross country race of the season Saturday at the SIU Edwardsville Border Wars, redshirt-freshman Nicole Benson (Peoria, Ill./Limestone H.S.) has earned this week's Inside Bradley Athletics Performance of the Week.

Benson paced the field of 39 competitors and finished 16 seconds ahead of SIU Edwardsville's Kayla Brown with a time of 17:30.91. Her individual win also helped the Braves pick up their second team victory.

For her efforts, the Missouri Valley Conference awarded Benson women's cross country athlete of the week honors for the third time this season.
