STANFORD, CALIF. -- Drake junior Casey McDermott (Newton, Iowa) finished 17th in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Stanford Invitational Friday night.

McDermott, the school record holder in the event, was timed in 11 minutes 14.07 seconds.

Senior Nicole Braunsdorf (St. Francis, Wis.) was 26th in the women's 5000 in 16:58.96.
