Maura Carroll in second and third as the Big Red won the meet 15-50.
The Big Red established themselves at the front very early in the women's race and held that advantage throughout. After Carroll led the race up the Ski Slope, Sellers led the charge for the next two miles. Freshman
Devin McMahon had a terrific race and finished strongly to claim first on the 6000 meter course with a fine time of 21:02. Sellers was close behind in an impressive personal best of 21:08 while Carroll ran a strong middle of the race to place third in another personal best of 21:22. Sophomore
Cara Costich closed well to get fourth in a PR 21:37 and junior
Janel Parker had a very good first race of the season to close out the Big Red scoring in fifth in 21:38, yet another personal best. Junior
Shelby Herman (6th, 21:42) and freshman
Emily Shearer (7th, 21:44) also ran very good races to round out the top seven. Also producing very good races were junior
Christine Smith (8th, 21:46), freshman
Rachel Sorna (9th, 21:49) and junior
Emma Clarke (10th, 21:51).
