ACU Cross Country notes
ABILENE – The ACU men's and women's cross country teams will host the Naimadu Pre-Conference Meet on Saturday in the team's first home meet of the season.
The men's collegiate 8-kilometer race is set to start at 8:30 a.m. at Sherrod Park, followed immediately by the women's 6-kilometer race. High school boys will run a 5K at 9 a.m., followed by a two-mile race for high school girls. Middle school boys and girls will race starting at 10:30 a.m.
On the collegiate side, teams entered so far include ACU, Angelo State, Tarleton State, Midwestern State and Texas A&M International.
For the ACU men, Saturday's meet is their final tuneup befor the Lone Star Conference championshp meet, which will be Nov. 6 right back at Sherrod Park. The women are scheduled to run again next week at Midwestern State's meet, but that will be their final tuneup before the LSC championship meet.
