The Bulls did not compete at the Penn State National last season. They spent this weekend at the Hatter Invitational in Deland, Fla., where the women's team finished second out of 20 teams and the men placed fourth out of 18 teams.
Last Time Out
The women's team finished fourth out of nine teams and the men's team placed seventh out of 11 teams at the Florida State Invitational. Junior Nicole Rozario led the women's team with a fifth-place finish in 17:53.22. Junior Yasmin Smith finished just over a second behind Rozario in sixth place with a time of 17:54.26. Shaniel Chambers placed 17th behind a time of 18:32. 70, while Devin Spoerle (28th, 18:59.55) and Christine Johnston (34th, 19:20.69) rounded out the top five. Senior Pedro Carela led the men's team for the second consecutive week, finishing 20th with a time of 25:52.11. Junior Phillip Wise was next in 21st place, clocking a 25:53.70. Junior Lucas Simari came in 34th with a time of 26:46.29, while freshman Julian Gines (41st, 27:11.41) and junior Sean Foster (55th, 28:16.28) rounded out the top five for the men.
