Sang Races to All-America Finish

LOUISVILLE, Ky – Amos Sang picked up all-America honors after racing to a ninth place finish Saturday at the NCAA DII Championships at a snow covered “Tom” Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Wildcats who returned to the NCAA National Championships racing to a 15th place team finish. The Wildcats were led by Sang who finished 9th covering the 10k course in 31:10.5 just 27 second off the pace of champion Michael Crouch of Queens University of North Carolina.
Defending national champion Adams State raced to their third consecutive Championship in a run-away victory over fellow RMAC rival Western State who finished runner-up. ACU finished one spot ahead of South Central Region Champion Central Missouri.
Romain Rybicki was the second finisher for ACU followed by Cleophus Tanui Will Pike, and Jacob Schofield.
Anais Belledant finished 65th as the only Wildcat racing individually on the women's side. Belledant covered the 6k course in 22:51.6 while Neely Spence of Shippensburg was the individual champion finishing in 20:41.2.
Grand Valley State stole the women's team championship ending Adams State's string of seven national championships.
