Bronx, N.Y. – Wagner junior
Thomas Iannacone (Havertown, PA / St. Joe's Prep) took top honors in the 3000m run at the 2010 Fordham University Christmas Classic in the final competition for the Wagner track & field team until the New Year.
Iannacone's time of 8:48.9 set a new personal-best for the junior Seahawk and was one of two top victories for the Green and White. Junior
Jeffrey Caravello (Cranford, NJ / Cranford) captured the other Wagner first place victory as he out vaulted the competition and recorded a top mark of 3.90m.
Another impressive finish from the field came from first year track and field thrower Josh Garrish who placed second in both the shot put and weight throw events with measures of 10.92m and 12.50m respectively.
On the track, rookie
Daniel Zaccariello (Staten Island, NY / St. Joseph's By The Sea) took third place in the 1 mile run with a recorded time of 4:24.5 as senior
Derek Rammelkamp (Miller Place, NY / Miller Place) captured sixth place in a time of 4:37.6.
