Nineteen Student-Athletes Set to Graduate Saturday

RICHMOND, Ky. - This Saturday, 19 student-athletes will receive their Eastern Kentucky University bachelor’s degrees in Alumni Coliseum. Seven different sports will be represented during the fall commencement ceremonies, including student-athletes from women's basketball, men’s cross country/track and field, women’s cross country/track and field, football, women’s soccer, women's tennis and volleyball.

This year’s student-athlete graduates include: Shannon Davis (football), Sarah Fraser-Jones (women's basketball), Alison Gajus (women's soccer), Anais Hamel (women's tennis), Michael Howard (football), Chris Krack (football), Elkana Kurgat (men's cross country/track and field), Ronnie Letcher (football), Abigail Love (women's cross country/track and field), Jessica Meads (volleyball), Stanley Mugo (men's cross country/track and field), Steven Nicholson (men's track and field), Sondra Nieporte (women's cross country/track and field), Alyze Pagal (women's tennis), Maddy Shumaker (women's soccer), Cody Watts (football), Cherie White (women's basketball), Marcus Williams (football), and Seth Wright (men's track and field).

The morning ceremony, at 9:30 a.m., will recognize degree candidates in the Colleges of Education, Health Sciences and Justice & Safety. The afternoon ceremony, at 2:00 p.m., will recognize degree candidates in the Colleges of Arts & Sciences and Business & Technology.

An informal reception will follow each graduation ceremony in the Fred Darling Auxiliary Gym.
