Manhattan Women Selected as USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan College women's cross country team is among 192 squads that have been recognized as 2010 Division I Cross Country All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USFTCCCA).  The Lady Jaspers posted a team GPA of 3.24 during the fall semester.

In order to qualify for all-academic status, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher and have started a minimum of five runners at the NCAA Regional Championships.  The Lady Jaspers placed 33rd at the NCAA Northeast Regional.  Manhattan was one of seven Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) schools to be recognized.

Alabama's 3.88 team GPA was the highest in the nation, while National Champion Villanova was named the Scholar Team of the Year, which goes to the All-Academic Team that was the highest overall finisher at the NCAA Championships.
