Complete Results

NEW YORK - With the ECAC/IC4A Championships just a week away, this weekend marked the last chance for athletes to post qualifying marks.  Mikael Rojeras (Sala, Sweden) of the Manhattan College men's track & field team did just that on Friday night, posting a time of 2:25.94 in the 1000 meters at the Armory Collegiate Challenge from the Armory Track & Field Center.  Running the event for the first time, Rojeras captured second place.

Also earning top-three finishes for Manhattan on Friday were Maria Jangsten (Gothenburg, Sweden), who took third in the women's 1000 meters with a time of 2:56.92, and Roman Ewald (Olching, Germany), whose toss of 15.30 meters (50 feet, 2½ inches) was good enough for third place in the men's shot put.  In addition, Justin Chiaravelle (Danbury, Conn.) had an impressive performance in the men's 60 meter hurdles, taking sixth place in 8.36 seconds.

The indoor season concludes next weekend at the ECAC/IC4A Championships in Boston.  The meet gets underway on Saturday, March 5, and concludes on Sunday, March 6.
