Mar. 7, 2011-- The North Central College track & field programs will be well represented at the 2011 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in Columbus, Ohio on Mar. 11-12, landing 14 entrants across eight events on the men's side and six entrants across six events on the women's side.

The top-ranked Cardinal men's squad landed 14 total entrants, including four entries in the pole vault. Robert Kapustka was a qualifier in both the weight throw and shot put while Jon Howard and Daniel Benton will both be represented in the 400-meter dash and as a member of the 4x400-meter relay.

Sheila Walsh qualified for three events for the fifth-ranked Cardinal women's team, earning a spot in the field in the 400-meter dash and as a member of the distance medley and 4x400-meter relays. Amanda Laesch will represent the team in both the 5,000-meter run and in the distance medley relay while Kala Bingham, Lauren Brightmore and Krista Cota will be represent North Central in both relays.

The 2011 Championships hosted by Capital University will get underway at 9:30 a.m. (Eastern Time) on Friday.
