Conarroe Leads Women's Track at Winthrop Invitational

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Senior Heather Conarroe placed fourth in the 800 meters and 11th in the 1,500 meters to lead the Davidson Wildcat women's track and field team this weekend at the Winthrop Invitational in Rock Hill, S.C.

Conarroe was fourth with a time of 2:31.61, followed by teammates Maggie Rickard (2:32.75) and Sarah Cline (2:33.04) in the 800 meters. She finished 11th in the 1,500 meters with a time of 5:03.08, just ahead of Cline, who was 14th with a time of 5:08.42.

Sophomore Natalie Atabek (eighth, 2:34.92), freshman Lydia McAliley (12th, 2:37.59), sophomore Anna Armistead (14th, 2:37.72), freshman Megan Mavity (15th, 2:38.26), sophomore Jena Manilla (22nd, 2:43.34), sophomore Haley Holway (24th, 2:45.34) and sophomore Cara Wilck (26th, 2:47.26) also ran in the 800 meters development.

Along with Conarroe and Cline, Rickard (17th, 5:11.17), Atabek (18th, 5:15.02), Armistead (21st, 5:15.91) and Mavity (22nd, 5:20.75) competed in the 1,500 meters.

Junior Brooke Senken finished 25th (1:08.30) in the 400 meters, and Holway (sixth, 5:21.16) and Wilck (ninth, 5:24.60) ran in the 1,500 meters development.

The Wildcats will return to action at the Terrier Relays, hosted by Wofford in Spartanburg, S.C., next weekend.
