Wildcat Women's Track Concludes Competition at Terrier Relays

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Davidson Wildcats women's track and field team finished second and third in the 4x800-meter relay, en route to an eighth-place finish at Terrier Relays hosted by Wofford College Saturday at Viking Track.

The Davidson “A” squad finished second in the 4x800-meter relay in a time of 9:31.00, followed by the Wildcats' “B” squad with a time of 9:45.00.

The Wildcats' “B” squad finished third in the 4x1600-meters with a time of 22:15.54, and the “A” squad was fifth with a time of 22:43.70.

In the distance medley, Davidson's “B” squad turned in the team's best finish with a third-place time of 13:15.26, ahead of the “A” squad (fifth, 13:32.08) and “C” squad (sixth, 13:35.42).

Individually, freshman Alexandra Horst finished second in the 5000 meters with a time of 19:37.15, followed immediately by classmate Olivia Goolsby (19:55.56). Junior Alyssa Moudy finished 10th with a time of 22:15.96 in the event. Junior Erin Lupfer cleared 1.55 meters, to finish tied for third in the high jump.

The Wildcats return to action April 8-9 at the Duke Invitational.
