Kennesaw State student-athletes receive degrees

KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics celebrated graduation this week as several student-athletes received their diplomas at the Spring Commencement ceremonies held at the KSU Convocation Center.

“Graduating our student-athletes is the most important thing we can do as a department,” said Director of Athletics Vaughn Williams. “With this being my first graduation here at Kennesaw State, I couldn’t be more proud of our young women and men as they fulfilled their academic commitment.”

A total of 25 current and former student-athletes walked the stage to get their diplomas over the course of two days and four graduation ceremonies. The volleyball program had four graduates, the baseball, men's basketball, men's track and women's soccer teams each had three graduates.

“For our department and for myself, as an administrator, these are the best days of the year,” added Williams. “Graduation will always be a priority here and I look forward to being on stage and sharing in the joy of each and every graduation in the future.”

There were 12 programs were represented during graduation including women’s soccer; volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women's track and field, softball, baseball, men’s and women's basketball along wih men’s and women’s golf.
