RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The 2011 Manhattan College cross country schedule was revealed today by Head Coach Dan MeccaThe Jaspers will compete in eight meets, including four at Van Cortlandt Park.

Manhattan begins the season with the Army Open on Sept. 2.  After a week off, the Jaspers run at Van Cortlandt Park for the first time when they participate in the annual Iona Meet of Champions on Sept. 17.  The Jaspers return to the Van Cortlandt Park course on Oct. 7 for the Metropolitan Championships.  Manhattan's final tune-up before the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championships will be on Oct. 15, when the Jaspers visit New Jersey for the Princeton Invitational.

After a one-year absence, the MAAC Championships, which take place on Oct. 28, return to their traditional home of Van Cortlandt Park this season.  The Jaspers continue championship competition on Nov. 12, when they head to Buffalo for the NCAA Northeast Regional.  The top two teams at Regionals, as well as the top two individuals from non-qualified teams, advance to the NCAA Championships.

Manhattan has one final meet at Van Cortlandt Park, the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Nov. 19, before the NCAA Championships two days later.  Once again, the NCAA Championships are set for Terre Haute, Ind.
