Manhattan Named All-Academic Team by USTFCCCA

2010-11 USTFCCCA Division I Women's All-Academic Track & Field Teams

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The day after the Manhattan College men's track & field team was recognized for its academic success by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), the Jasper women received the same honor.  Manhattan was one of 164 institutions to earn Division I All-Academic Women's Track & Field Team status.

Division I programs with a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher qualified for USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition.  Manhattan's team GPA was 3.38.  The top GPA in the nation (3.68) belonged to Princeton.

A total of 27 Jaspers (12 indoor, 11 outdoor, 4 cross country) earned MAAC All-Academic honors during the 2010-11 season.  In addition, Malin Olsson (Malmo, Sweden) was among 633 student-athletes named to the individual USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.  Jackie Hargrove (Vienna, Va.) was selected to the Capital One Academic All-District Team for the second time and also was nominated for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.
