Complete USTFCCCA Regional Rankings

Aug. 23, 2011-- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its preseason regional rankings on Tuesday with the North Central College women's cross country squad earning a No. 8 ranking within the Midwest Region.

The two-time defending College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin champion Cardinals are one of two CCIW institutions to appear in the Midwest Region's Top 10. North Central occupies the No. 8 spot while Illinois Wesleyan University is 10th. Washington University in Saint Louis sits atop the Midwest Region followed by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

The USTFCCCA releases regional rankings on a weekly basis during the cross country season for all eight championship regions. The first ranking of the regular season will be unveiled on Sept. 13.

North Central begins its 2011 campaign on Sept. 9 at the Aurora Spartan Invitational.
