Official A-Sun Conference Release

MACON, Ga. – Kennesaw State junior Nabil Hamid was named Atlantic Sun Conference Men's Runner of the Week after finishing second in a field of 54 runners at the Auburn Invitational at Conway Acres Farm last Friday.
 
The Oromia, Ethiopia native ran a time of 19:12.3 with a 5:05 per mile pace to help the Owls capture second place, behind host school Auburn. This marks the second time in Hamid’s career he has garnered conference runner of the week honors.

"You can see why Nabil was a First Team All-Conference honoree last year for us," said head coach Stan Sims. "He provided leadership by stepping it up a notch this past week and he will be a big factor for the team's success come October."

Nabil and the Owls will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 17 when they compete in the Georgia State Invite in Hampton, Ga.
