USTFCCCA Regional Rankings

Sept. 27, 2011-- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association released its NCAA Division III Regional Rankings on Tuesday with the North Central College women's cross country squad climbing up to fourth in the Midwest Region.

The Cardinals jump up four spots to fourth in the week three rankings, thanks in part to a runner-up finish at the Wheaton College Gil Dodds Invitational on Saturday. Washington University in Saint Louis, winners of the Gil Dodds Invitational, remain the Midwest Region's top ranked team followed by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

North Central had four runners place in the top ten at the Gil Dodds Invitational, including Kala Bingham, who finished third overall in 22 minutes, 4.14 seconds, earning College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Runner of the Week accolades.

The Cardinals return to action on Friday, hosting the Cardinal Classic at Saint James Farm in Warrenville, Ill. with races slated to get underway at 4:30 p.m.
