Madison, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field 4x400-meter relay team was named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Track Athletes of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.  Senior Caitlin Wippermann of Lake Geneva (H.S.), sophomore Jenna Halvorson of Fairbault, Minn. (H.S.), freshman Claire Elliott of Apple Valley, Minn. (Eastview) and junior Rebecca Scheuermann of Eau Claire (Regis) earned the honor.

The relay placed second at the Wartburg College (Iowa) Select Meet February with a time of 3:52.56.  The time ranks first in the WIAC by five seconds and is currently ranked second in NCAA Division III.

UW-L returns to action Friday, February 10 at the St. Mary's University (Minn.) and UW-Whitewater Invitational.
