Des Moines, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team completed first day action at the Drake Relays Friday at Drake Stadium.  No team scores are recorded.  The Eagles had three relays compete Friday, including the 4x200-meter relay which placed 13th overall.

The 4x200-meter relay of Jaime Ludwigson, Caitlin Wippermann, Hannah Mueller and Rebecca Schmidt finished 13th overall in the college division with a time of 1:43.42.

UW-L had two other relays compete Friday in the college division.  The 4x100-meter relay of Ludwigson, Wippermann, Claire Elliott and Schmidt failed to advance to Saturday's final after running a 48.22 in Friday's preliminaries.

The Eagles' 4x400-meter relay of Jenna Halvorson, Rebecca Scheuermann, Shannon Klein and Elliott also failed to advance to the final after finishing with a preliminary time of 3:52.09.

Action continues Saturday, April 28 at the Drake Relays with the Eagles' sprint medley team.  UW-L will also compete at the St. Mary's University (Minn.) Invitational.
