Iowa Intercollegiate Meet Results

Ames, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's cross country team placed third at the Iowa Intercollegiate Saturday at the Iowa State University Cross Country Course. The Eagles totaled 83 team points while Iowa State University won with 24. The University of Missouri was second (35 points) followed by UW-L (83), Wartburg College, Iowa (137), Grand View University, Iowa (142), Iowa Lakes Community College (179) and Des Moines Area Community College (210).

The Eagles' Natalie Powell was 19th overall, finishing the 5,000-meter course in 19:31. Corissa Conard was 20th (19:34) for UW-L while Abby Gustafson finished 29th (19:51) and Laura Mead placed 30th (19:51).

Megan Stats-Wagner finished 33rd (20:12) for UW-L while Lisa Rydeen was 34th (20:13), Rebecca Zych 37th (20:22), Ellen Smith 38th (20:24) and Cassie Pratt 39th (20:26).

Other finishers in the top-50 included Kristin Lillie 40th (20:31), Emily Anderson 42nd (20:43), Allison Richman 46th (20:54) and Krystina Hoey 47th (20:59).

Bailey Belvis of Missouri finished first overall (17:54). A total of 102 runners competed.

UW-L returns to action Friday, September 28 at the St. Mary's University (Minn.) Invitational.
