Last September, 19-year-old Latipha Cross was thrust from relative obscurity into the national spotlight when ESPN released a 10-minute video on her life. Titled "One Sprinter, Many Hurdles," the video told how Cross overcame homelessness and two bouts of cancer to earn a full scholarship at EMU.
