After setting a new collegiate record in the 1,000m run, senior Rich Peters of the men's track & field team has been named the GoTerriers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
On the final day to post times that can be considered for selection to the national championships Villanova posted a time of 9:28.06 in the distance medley relay and leaped to third in the nation on the season performance list. The lineup of junior Dusty Solis (Colorado Springs, Colo.), senior Samuel Ellison (Dresher, Pa.), senior Chris FitzSimons (Hamden, Conn.) and sophomore Jordy Williamsz (Melbourne, Australia) competed in the Boston University Last Chance Meet at the Track & Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon and the Wildcats also had individual entries in the Mile and the 800 meters. Sophomore Rob Denault (Aurora, Ont.) posted a time of 3:59.52 in the Mile to notch the third sub-four minute time of his career and the second this season.
Senior Rich Peters of the Boston University men's track & field team set a new collegiate record in the 1,000m run on Sunday at the BU Last Chance Meet, crossing the line with a time of 2:18.55 at the Track and Tennis Center.
Birmingham, Ala. - The UTEP men turned in balanced performances on Saturday to capture the 2014 Conference USA Indoor Track and Field title, the first indoor title since 2006.
The East Carolina women's track and field squad won the Conference USA Indoor Championship for the second time in three years after tallying 88 points which was 15 points more than the second place finisher.
Setting two new conference records, four MSU records and adding three medals, the Michigan State track & field team concluded competition at the 2014 Big Ten Indoor Championships on Saturday. Tori Franklin (triple jump) and Leah O'Connor (mile) each won Big Ten titles en route to earning a spot in the conference record books, while Kurt Schneider (heptathlon) and Caleb Rhynard (5,000-meter) broke decade-old school records to close out the meet. At the end of competition, the Spartan women finished seventh overall with a total of 50 points, while the men tallied 51 points for an eighth-place finish.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University track & field alumni Rose Richmond (2004), David Neville (2008), Aarik Wilson (2008) and Derek Drouin (2012) have earned a special place in IU athletics history. The group of four, now join the previous 24 and have been added to the IU Track & Field Wall of Honor in Gladstein Fieldhouse.
UCF head track and field coach Jeannette Bolden announced one of the largest classes in program history on Wednesday with 10 student-athletes signing national letters of intent to join the Knights in the fall.

Senior Rich Peters broke the school record in the 3,000m run as the Boston University men's track & field team competed in the John Thomas Terrier Invitational on Saturday at the Track and Tennis Center.

Dani Bunch and Chukwuebuka Enekwechi each defended their Big Ten Field Athlete of the Week honor, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. Bunch broke her own school records in the shot put and weight throw, including a national leader in weight, while Enekwechi set personal records in the same events, school and facility records and a national leader in the weight throw.

The Last Week of College Action.
Chukwuebuka Enekwechi was named one of six USTFCCCA National Athletes of the Week on Monday afternoon. The announcement came just hours after the sophomore thrower was tabbed the Big Ten Field Athlete of the Week. The USTFCCCA also released its Preseason Division I National Team Computer rankings on Monday afternoon and the Purdue women are one of just two Big Ten teams ranked in the top 25.
Sarah Disanza finished 12th at the 2014 Bupa Great Edinburgh Championships on Saturday, Jan. 11.
Oklahoma State's Noah Gade finished tenth in the men's junior 6K at the Bupa Great Edinburgh International Team Challenge, at Holyrood Park, in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Saturday.
