Oregon sophomore Mike Berry and UNLV senior Amanda Bingson have been named the MileSplit U National Performers of the Week.
Berry broke his own school record in the 400-meter dash at the NCAA West Preliminary meet. In a race which featured several of the country's best, Berry led from start to finish to win in the fastest time of the day at 44.86 seconds. His time is the fastest in the NCAA this season and fourth in the world.
Bingson broke the UNLV program record in the hammer for the eighth time, winning the NCAA West Preliminary meet in 233 feet, 1 inch. Bingson's performance was a meet record and bettered her national-leading mark by five feet.
