For yet another season, we resume our weekly tour of the action from the preceding week. This review will be short on discussion of the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede as a separate article is in the works for that meet.
So, without further ado, here's what you missed if you were seeing the trainer, catching up on homework, or scooting out of town early for a long Labor Day weekend:
The first thing that caught my eye about this meet is likely the first thing that caught your eye, too, as you scrolled through the results. Durango's Shannon Maloney dominated the FR/SO race. And, yes, she is a sophomore, but you're inclined to wonder, "What was she doing in that race?" While I don't have the answer to that question, I think I can say we can expect her in more varsity races than not in weeks to follow.
