Movers and Shakers of Week 2
Class AAA
-- Cassidy Hale (duPont Manual) ran with the pack through the wind for the 1st mile and then left everyone behind to win big by 34 seconds. She also won Memphis as a freshmen in 2009.
-- Speaking of duPont Manual, they pulled off 2nd in Memphis led by Hale, but a huge performance from Mattie Gattbrath finishing 25th as their 4th runner really pushed them over the top.
-- AAA #2 Bowling Green lived up to the hype with the win in Memphis for the 2nd year in a row. Nice pack run as usual led by Ciara Scott.
-- The officials hurried the boys to the line before the clouds opened up to a downpour. With the being said times were slower than normal in Memphis, but Daviess County's Daniel Southard still rolled to a 5th place finish. DC boys were 3rd overall. Big performances by Kyle Johnson of Bowling Green finishing 16th overall leading them over top 10 ranked Eastern.
