The names were familiar. The performances posted by the owners of those names were sometimes familiar and sometimes not. This is the first meet of the indoor season, after all. And, every season starts somewhere.

We'll start with the most familiar. And that would take us straight to MaryBeth Sant and Zainab Sanni, who managed a 1-2 in the 60 meters with times of 7.46 and 7.57. Figure those times will drop before the indoor season is over, but they're a nice place to start.

Alex Mead was another familiar name at the meet. His third in the men's 60 at 6.95 also rings familiar. We've seen Mead post times like that before.
