Robby Andrews AAARRGGHH! So close.
One of the home town heroes of distance running, Robby Andrews, goes after the American Record for the 1000m and just misses by .04 after a valiant effort in a kick for glory. He finished first with a time of 2:17.90. This was still the second fastest time run for the U.S. however which is pretty cool, though he'd rather have the first. He looked really strong during the race, had his own gameplan, and is showing signs for greater things to come. Video of the race is embedded here.
