Yesterday at the 1a Midwest Regionals, a sprinter by the name of Cory Wilkerson dominated his events. He was wearing sunglasses, and he ran a time of 10.40 in the 100m finals. I looked at the results from all other 1a regions and 3 of 4 3A regions and found that his time was the fastest of anyone. My question is: Has anyone in the state ran a time like this in the past 5 years?

I was there and it was FAT and they were fun to watch. He set the regional record in prelims and the finals in both the 100 and 200. He also ran a great final 4x200 leg pulling his team back to victory

Cory has been around a while. 7th in 100m 2005 AAU JO's 2006 was a good year. That's when he was on a great 4X100 relay team at Tri City Relays with Bryce Sherman Demetrius David and Dominic Tate. They were 1st in the nation in one of the most exciting races I've ever seen. It looked like a tie with the score board saying 42 each then it carried out to: Boys 4x100 Meter Relay Intermediate ================================================================ NATIONAL: N 41.30 1985 Dallas TX, Dallas, TX Team Finals ================================================================ Finals 1 Tri-City Relays 'A' 42.00 41.995 2 Texas Stars TC 'A' 42.00 41.999 He was also 4th in the 100m and 6th in the 200m that year.

Wow. it sounds like he's had a pretty impressive career. And thanks for posting those other times, They're crazy for high school sprinters.
I wasn't at the meet yesterday. What happened to Cory?
Cory had some bad luck. I think he pulled a hamstring in the 100m prelims. He didn't run any events.
