MileSplit U Performers of the Week: Freeman and Robertson

Central Florida's Octavious Freeman and Mississippi's Ricky Robertson have been named the MileSplit U National Performers of the Week, the website announced Wednesday.

Freeman sped to a world-leading 11.10 second win in the 100-meter dash at the Florida Relays. En route to victory, she defeated a field that included a number of professionals in Tiffany Townsend (11.22), Simone Facey (11.52) and Courtney Patterson (11.74). The freshman then followed with another exceptional performance, winning the 200 in the nation's top time of 22.80. Freeman's time is also the second-fastest time in the world this season.

Robertson posted a world-leading mark and meet record (2.32m/7-07.25) to win the high jump at the Florida Relays. Robertson, who was the NCAA runner-up last season, had a series of jumps of 2.00m, 2.05m, 2.10m, 2.15m, 2.20m, 2.25m, 2.30 and 2.32. His performance earned him a spot on The Bowerman Watch List. Robertson, a junior, is the first Ole Miss athlete to be named to the watch list.
