XC Weekend Highlights from Sept. 14-16.


adidas Cross Country Challenge, NC
In the MileSplit Meet of the Week, the 2nd annual adidas XC challenge saw three sub-15 minute 5K's by three NC State teammates in Patrick Campbell (14:58.3), Brain Himelright (14:58.4), Matt Sonnenfeldt (14:58.5). North Carolina sophomore Lianne Farber ran a solid 17:00 to lead the women's action.

UF Mt. Dew Invitational, FL
The Florida men and women swept their home meet in style. The women's team swept the top 5 spots with junior Agata Strasua placing first in the 5K at 17:13.32.The Gator men  placed five individuals in the top-5 led by a third-place finish from junior Mark Parrish.

Jim Ryun Invitational by Adidas, FL
The University of Tampa dominated the competition on the men's side, highlighted by placing eight runners in the top-10. Peter Licari (28:49.01) and Geremy DeWitt (28:52.52) led the way for the Spartans, finishing in first and second, respectively.

Salty Dog Invitational, MD
Hannah Oneda of Johns Hopkins captured her second consecutive victory of the season as she won the Salty Dog Invitational 6K in a US #19 time of 12 minutes, 50 seconds. Navy's Annie-Norah Beveri was second in 21:52 (US #20).
