Day 6
Texas A&M incoming freshman Shelbi Vaughan placed third in the discus throw at 60.07m.
Texas' Morgan Snow had a strong showing in the 100 meter hurdles as she won the event in 13.38, into a headwind of -2.4 m/s.
The United States completed the relay sweep by winning the 4x4's. The women's team of Erika Rucker, Olivia, Kendall Baisden and Ashley Spencer ran 3:30.01. Quincy Downing, Aldrich Bailey, Chidi Okezie, Arman Hall gave the USA men gold in 3:03.99.
Day 5
The United States swept the men's and women's 4x100 relays on Day 5. The women's team which consisted of Morgan Snow, Dezerea Bryant, Jennifer Madu and Shayla Sanders completed the one-lap race in 43.89 seconds, defeating Germany (44.24) and Brazil (44.29). The men's team of Tyreek Hill, Aldrich Bailey, Arthur Delaney and Aaron Ernest, were victorious over Jamaica (38.97) and Japan (39.02) in 38.67.
Day 4
Illinois' Ashley Spencer put up the performance of the day in winning the 400 meters in 50.50. Spencer's performance was a championship record and the second-fastest time recorded by a junior behind Sanya Richards. South Carolina's Erika Rucker finished in third with a time of 51.10, which was a personal best for the rising sophomore.
Recent University of Houston signee Eric Futch won the 400 hurdles to lead Team USA on Day 4. Futch posted a world-leading time of 50.24 seconds.
In the women's 200, a pair of collegiates grabbed the second and third spots in Texas A&M's Olivia Ekpone and Clemson's Dezerea Bryant. Ekpone ran a personal best 23.15 while Bryant also came in at 23.15.
On the men's side, LSU's Aaron Ernest earned his second silver medal of these championships with a runner-up finish in the 200 at 20.53.
Day 3
Incoming Florida State freshman Ajee Wilson put up another phenomenal season performance on Day 3. Wilson won the women's 800 with the #2 all-time performance for a high school athlete at 2:00.91.
Syracuse recruit Brianna Nerud topped her own high school national record from Day 1 with a fifth place finish in the 3K steeple (10.00.72).

Day 2
Arkansas' Gunnar Nixon had his best showing in the decathlon of his career to date. Nixon captured the IAAF World Junior title with 8018 points, surpassing the American Junior Record held previously by his Razorback teammate Kevin Lazas (8016 points). Full story

Men's 100 Final: LSU rising sophomore Aaron Ernest placed second, equaling his personal best 10.17. He became the first athlete in LSU history to medal in this event at the World Junior Championships.
Women's 800 Semi-Final: Florida State recruit in New Jersey's Ajee Wilson clocked the fourth-fastest time in the semi-final with a 2:02.43 (PB).
Women's 400 Heats: Illinois' Ashley Spencer advanced with ease out of heat 1, winning in 52.58.
Day 1
The 2012 IAAF World Junior Championships kicked off with a bang from Barcelona, Spain, on Tuesday. High school sensation Brianna Nerud (New York) led Team USA on Day 1 as she set a national high school record in the women's 3,000-meter steeple.Nerud posted an Olympic "B" standard time of 10 minutes, 8.15 seconds. The Syracuse recruit had the sixth fastest qualifying time in the heats.
Arkansas rising sophomore Gunnar Nixon led the men's team as he jumped out to an early lead in the decathlon over Tim Dekker of the Netherlands (4154) with 4164 points.
Tyreek Hill (Ga.) and LSU's Aaron Ernest clocked the top-2 times in the 100 heats, with Hill at 10.37 (-2.3) and Ernest at 10.39 (-1.6).
In the women's 3000 final, Stanford rising sophomore Aisling Cuffe placed six with a time of 9:21.88 while UConn's Lindsay Crevoiserat was ninth in a personal best of 9:21.88.
Christina Hillman (Iowa State) added another Top-10 finish for the U.S., by placing fourth in the shot put at 16.27 meters.
